Artwork

Uploading long Artwork

How to upload Featured Artwork or a regular Artwork Showcase image so it displays at full height on your Steam profile.

Open upload page
  • Open the Steam upload page in a browser where you are signed in to Steam.
  • Click Choose File and select your PNG or GIF file.
  • Open the browser console: Chrome - Ctrl+Shift+J, Firefox - Ctrl+Shift+K.
  • In Firefox, type allow pasting in the console first and press Enter.
  • Paste the required command below and press Enter.
  • Enter an artwork title, confirm authorship, then click Save and Continue.
  • Open Edit Profile -> Featured Showcase, choose the showcase and assign the uploaded artwork.

After upload, Steam may show a thin black line as the preview. That is expected. The artwork will display at full height inside the profile showcase.

Artwork / Featured Artwork
$J('#image_width').val(1000).attr('id',''),$J('#image_height').val(1).attr('id','');
Screenshot Showcase
$J('#image_width').val(1000).attr('id',''),$J('#image_height').val(1).attr('id',''),$J('[name=file_type]').val(5);
Workshop

Workshop GIF showcase

An animated Workshop showcase is uploaded as 5 separate GIF parts. Our editor exports a ready ZIP; upload the parts one by one from left to right.

  • Open the Steam upload page in a browser where you are signed in to Steam.
  • Open the console (Ctrl+Shift+J) and paste the command below to set the correct Workshop upload type.
  • Upload the first GIF part, add a title and save it. Repeat for all 5 parts.
  • In Edit Profile -> Featured Showcase, choose Workshop and assign the 5 uploaded items.

If Steam asks you to accept the Workshop Legal Agreement, open the agreement, accept it and return to the upload page.

Workshop upload type
$J('[name=consumer_app_id]').val(480);$J('[name=file_type]').val(0);$J('[name=visibility]').val(0);
Profile

Transparent profile

A transparent profile requires the Transparency Bundle from Steam Points Shop and the Dying Light 2 game profile.

Steam Points Shop
  • Open Steam Points Shop and purchase the Profile Transparency Bundle.
  • Open Edit Profile -> Game Profile.
  • Set Game Profile to Dying Light 2.
  • Set Profile Background back to your previous background.
  • Set Avatar back to your previous avatar frame.
  • Set Mini Profile back to your previous mini profile.
  • Save the profile.

Steam showcases usually require profile level 10 or higher. If the showcase you need is missing in Edit Profile > Featured Showcase, check your account level and the showcase list inside Steam first.

Featured Artwork is one large central image across the profile, 630 px wide.

Artwork Showcase is the classic split layout: 506 px main image plus a 100 px right side panel.

Workshop Showcase uses five narrow GIF parts and is best for animated profile layouts.

That is normal for long artwork uploads. The console method makes Steam see the image as 1000x1 px during upload. After you assign it inside the profile showcase, it displays at full height.

Check whether the console asks you to type allow pasting first. If it does, type that phrase, press Enter, then paste the command again. Also make sure the upload page is open in a browser where you are already signed in to Steam.

If you only have one artwork item, it is probably assigned to the wrong showcase. Put it into Featured Artwork Showcase. In Steam's showcase list it is usually lower down, so scroll the list before choosing.

  • Open Steam Points Shop and purchase the Profile Transparency Bundle.
  • Go to Edit Profile > Game Profile.
  • Set Game Profile to Dying Light 2.
  • Set Profile Background back to your previous background.
  • Set Avatar back to your previous avatar frame.
  • Set Mini Profile back to your previous mini profile.
  • Save the profile.
